Course Outcome:- Increased confidence, including on steep slopes
- Understanding of how the snowboard operates
- Reduction in leg pain, as riding technique becomes more efficient
- Understanding of how to progress further in snowboarding
Day 1:Goals:
1. Reduce leg pain2. Increase stability
We're adjusting the basic position - the foundation for effective riding. We do this through specific exercises. As a result, they help to reduce leg pain and increase stability while riding.
Day 2:Goasl:
1. Improve lower body steering2. Understand the impact of certain movements
After adjusting the stance, we can move on to new elements - learning to steer the snowboard with our shins and feet, understanding how certain movements affect snowboard control.
Day 3:Goasl:
1. Increase control on steep terrain
2. Boost confidenceOnce we've mastered controlling the snowboard with the lower body, we can ramp it up - adding vertical movement, which is how we navigate steep slopes. As a result, confidence increases, with legs working more efficiently with less effort.
Day 4:Goals:
1. Practice
2. Boost confidence on steep terrainOn the final day, we practice and learn to determine the best technique for tackling the section of the slope ahead, and how to ride it with the most effective technique.
