Technique Accelerator:

Camp roadmap

Course Outcome:
  • Increased confidence, including on steep slopes
  • Understanding of how the snowboard operates
  • Reduction in leg pain, as riding technique becomes more efficient
  • Understanding of how to progress further in snowboarding

Day 1:
Goals:
1. Reduce leg pain
2. Increase stability
We're adjusting the basic position - the foundation for effective riding. We do this through specific exercises. As a result, they help to reduce leg pain and increase stability while riding.

Day 2:
Goasl:
1. Improve lower body steering
2. Understand the impact of certain movements
After adjusting the stance, we can move on to new elements - learning to steer the snowboard with our shins and feet, understanding how certain movements affect snowboard control.

Day 3:
Goasl:
1. Increase control on steep terrain
2. Boost confidence
Once we've mastered controlling the snowboard with the lower body, we can ramp it up - adding vertical movement, which is how we navigate steep slopes. As a result, confidence increases, with legs working more efficiently with less effort.

Day 4:
Goals:
1. Practice
2. Boost confidence on steep terrain
On the final day, we practice and learn to determine the best technique for tackling the section of the slope ahead, and how to ride it with the most effective technique.

Carving INTRO:

Camp roadmap

Course Outcome:
  • Increased stability at bigger speeds
  • Understanding carving basics
  • Efficient carving technique
  • Understanding of how to progress further in Carving

Day 1:
Goal:
1. Increase stability on bigger speed for further progress
Slopes: Green / Blue
We are going to breakdown which gear is better for carving. Next we are going to refine your body position and work on confidence on bigger speed.

Day 2:
Goal:
1. Deeper lean inside the turn
2. Better edge control
Slopes: Blue
After adjusting the body position, we learn to control the snowboard edge angle through tilting your body inside the turn. Then we learn why early edge transition is necessary for proper carving

Day 3:
Goal:
1. Performance riding

2. Carving turns variety

Slopes: Blue
This day we are going to make a deeper dive on tips to improve balance and inclination at bigger speeds. Also we are going to adjust the shape of the turn to the riding terrain.

Day 4:
Goal:
1. Steeper terrain technique adjustment
Slopes: Blue / Red
Carving with up unweighting in the morning. We practice more in the second half of the day and apply all the techniques we've learned over the past 3 days.

360 Freestyle camp:

  • Understanding of how to progress further in snowboarding freestyle

Day 1:
Goal:
1. 180 and 360 on a slope.
2. Safe approach to 360.
3. Moving pattern development.

We are going to explain you the safe step-by-step approach to your first 360. You are going to understand the difference in execution of frontside and backside spins.

Day 2:
Goal:
1. Getting used to park riding.
2. Proper approach to the jump.
3. Video analysis.

It is time to get familiar with the park rules. You will understand how to chose a line, which features are safe to ride and which of them is better to avoid. We will film you and give a comprehensive feedback on how to improve your spins.

Day 3:
Goal:
1. Land your first 360 of the kicker.
2. Further progression plan.

Time to try your first 360 on the park feature! We are going to ride together in the park and have a progression session.
